CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County deputies are asking for the public's help in solving a break-in at a restaurant on Maybank Highway.
Deputies responded to a burglary alarm at the Zia Taqueria at approximately 3 a.m. on Feb. 12, an incident report states.
Deputies say they found the glass in the front door broken and the restaurant's back office door forced open.
Surveillance video, which has not been released, appears to show a man wearing a mask enter the restaurant through the front door and then walk straight to the office where he forced open a door and walked to the safe, the report states. Deputies say he left through the rear door with the restaurant's safe and its contents.
