Police in Goose Creek are asking for the public's assistance to locate a man they say stole $2,700 in coins from a Goose Creek business.
The owner of the Royal Lanes Bowling Center notified police on March 9 of the theft, Assistant Police Chief John Grainger said.
The man told police that an unknown man broke into a pool table and eleven arcade games, an incident report states.
Police released a surveillance image of the man they are looking for. Investigators say surveillance videos showed the man arrive at the business at approximately 12:53 p.m. in a black sedan, park on the right side near the rear of the building and go inside, the report states.
Police say video shows the man break into one of the pool tables, then returns to his vehicle. They say he then re-entered the business and asked for change at the front desk before entering the arcade area and breaking into several arcade games.
Police are working to determine if a nearby business may have surveillance video that could provide additional leads, the report states.
Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact Officer N. Smith at 843-863-5200 or Crime Stoppers at 854-554-1111.
