ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - An Orangeburg man has been charged after investigators determined a juvenile had been sexually assaulted during 2014 or 2015, deputies say.
Earl Tucker Jr., 27, has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11 years of age.
During a hearing on Friday, Orangeburg County Magistrate Sam daily deferred bond on the Edisto Drive man to a circuit court judge.
Orangeburg County Sheriff's investigators were notified in December 2016 of possible sexual misconduct allegations involving a child that was said to have begun in June of 2014.
A forensic interviewer said she was told by the child that between 2014 and the summer of 2015, Tucker performed sexual acts on the child.
Tucker faces between 10 and 30 years in prison, if convicted.
