CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Reaction to the U.S. bombing of a Syrian airfield has been mixed around the world.
It has been condemned by Russia and Iran, saying it could lead to war. But it was the right thing to do. Images of innocent men, women and children…even babies, gasping to breathe after the chemical attack were horrendous.
Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley in her new role as U.N. Ambassador held up those awful pictures and told the U.N. there can no future for Bashar al-Assad in Syria.
She is right.
The U.S., President Trump, and the world must take a stand against dictator regimes like Syria and North Korea.
It's time for the threats and brutality to end.
