Berkeley County is working hard to keep the name of Ariel Morgan alive.

Berkeley County government officials renamed a road after Morgan on Monday.

The road is renamed in memory of Morgan, who was shot to death three years ago at a party.

New signs designate Ambassador Avenue near Moncks Corner as Ariel Elaine Morgan Memorial Road.

The 19-year-old was fatally shot in June of 2014, when shots were fired into a crowd at a party on Tish Lane in Longridge. Investigators say she was an innocent bystander who was struck by a stray bullet.

More than 800 people were at that party, but her murder remains unsolved.

Investigators said in Dec. of 2016 they believe someone at the party knows who is responsible for Ariel's death.

If you know about the death of Ariel Morgan, you are asked to contact police at (843) 743-7200 or Crimestoppers at (843) 554-1111. You can remain anonymous and you could receive a cash reward.
