NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Malfunctioning railroad crossing arms caused traffic delays in North Charleston Tuesday night.
Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch confirmed rail arms were stuck in the down position, preventing traffic from getting through. Witnesses said traffic was at a standstill on Ashley Phosphate.
The malfunctioning arms were at the intersection of Ashley Phosphate and Southrail Road, dispatchers say.
Before midnight, the rail arms were back up and traffic was flowing normally.
