NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - North Charleston police officers say they arrested a man who allegedly fired his weapon at Wannamaker Park.
Wendell Jordan, 52, was arrested and charged with Discharging a Firearm in City Limits.
On Sunday shortly before 4 p.m, officers received a call about a disturbance at Wannamaker Park.
Reports say that there was a fight in the parking lot and shots were fired.
Jordan reportedly said that a white sedan was driving recklessly in the parking lot.
Jordan's family members were upset that children were around while the sedan was driving recklessly and they went to confront the driver.
He reportedly stated that a fight broke out and he went to break it up. As Jordan's family was walking away, the party in the white sedan approached them and they started fighting again.
According to reports, Jordan feared that the fight would escalate so he pulled his revolver out of his pocket at fired it into the air.
