NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - Lawyers for a North Charleston jewelry store owner charged with murdering his wife are working to get a medical evaluation for the man Monday.
Bond was denied for 80-year-old Ivo Colucci Saturday morning.
Police arrested him Friday afternoon, after someone reported hearing gunshots in his Rivers Avenue jewelry store. Court documents state Colucci and his wife were arguing when he pulled a gun from his pocket and shot her.
Police say surveillance video shows Colucci hiding the gun and the shell casing shortly before police arrived.
Doris Colucci, 74, died at the scene.
