DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Severe storms over Dorchester County produced hail Tuesday afternoon as they moved through the area.
A severe thunderstorm warning for Dorchester County expired at 5 p.m.
Live 5 Chief Meteorologist Bill Walsh said hail with a diameter of 1.3 inches was detected during the storms.
At 4:17 p.m., meteorologists reported a severe thunderstorm over Middleton Place, and is nearly stationary. The storm could bring 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail.
That storm started to weaken after 4:30 p.m., Walsh said.
