Berkeley quarterback Darius Douglas signed a letter of intent to play at South Carolina as a preferred walk-on on Thursday afternoon.
Douglas put up huge numbers his senior season for the Stags throwing for over 2100 yards and 28 touchdowns while also rushing for over 700 yards and 13 touchdowns.
He helped lead Berkeley to a 9-3 record in 2016 including a region championship. He would also be selected to play in the Shrine Bowl.
"I was an underrated athlete without any offers, stars or anything" Douglas said in a statement on Twitter. "But I didn't let any of that stop me from wanting to be the best."
Douglas will be the third walk-on quarterback at South Carolina, a group that also includes Wando alum Bailey Hart.
