GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Authorities are continuing to search for suspects following a shooting outside a Goose Creek barber shop.

The Goose Creek Police Department released new information on Friday stating that investigators are continuing to piece together what exactly happened and what led to the shooting outside the Diamond Cutz on 129 St. James Ave. on Thursday.

"At this time it is believed that this incident involved acquaintances and was not random," GCPD officials said.

In a newly released police report, officers reported they had responded to Diamond Cutz in reference to a possible armed robbery in which shots were fired.

The responding officer said he found blood on the pavement in the parking spot near the front door of the barbershop.

According to the report, it was determined that the business was not robbed and the shooting happened outside of the shop.

A witness said the victim, an 18-year-old man, came from the rear of the business after being shot and was leaning against the driver side of a car.

The witness reported that two men then threw the victim in the back seat of the car and fled at a high rate of speed.

Another witness said she heard a "loud burst of noise" then saw two men get into a Camaro and flee the scene.

They said a white vehicle then followed the Camaro.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact (843) 572-4300 or Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
