GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Georgetown County Schools will dismiss early Monday because of heavy rainfall and flash flooding risks, the district confirmed.
All Georgetown County Schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m., according to Georgetown County School District Lindsay Thompson. All after-school activities are also canceled for Monday, she said.
The flash flooding risk could prompt road and street closures countywide, school officials say.
All schools will remain open until parents have picked up all students and until buses have delivered students home safely, Thompson said.
