College of Charleston sophomore Evan Sisk (Chester, S.C.) raked in his second Colonial Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week honors of the season after helping the Cougars to a weekend sweep of Towson, announced league officials on Monday.
Sisk continued his stellar sophomore season with a dominant performance on Saturday, as the 6-foot-2, 185-pound southpaw scattered three hits and struck out seven in seven shutout innings to earn his fifth win. In the outing, Sisk allowed one runner past second while forcing seven groundouts.
The Chester, S.C. native currently leads the Cougar pitching staff with a 5-0 record and a 2.56 ERA in 52.2 innings pitched. Sisk owns a career record of 6-2 to go along with 72 strikeouts – including 35 this season – in 91 innings of work.
The Cougars return to the diamond on Tuesday when they travel to Clemson, S.C. to take on No. 3 Clemson at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. First pitch is set for 6:30 pm on ACC Network Extra.
