The US Marshals Office have arrested a Lowcountry fugitive accused of pepper spraying a woman during a robbery outside a bank.

Authorities charged 46-year-old David Bernard Taylor of Moncks Corner with strong armed robbery.

He was arrested on Wednesday when the US Marshals along with local law enforcement located him and took him into custody.

Taylor's arrest stems from an incident on Dec. 23, 2016 on Edisto Island outside the Enterprise Bank on Oyster Park Drive.

The victim said it all started when she left the EZ shop with a business cash drop, and noticed a car following behind her which she thought was also going to the bank.

According to a report, when the victim opened her door she was sprayed in the face.

Investigators say the victim then fell into her vehicle and let go of the money bag which was taken by the suspect.

She said the suspect was wearking a black ski mask.

A witness also spoke to deputies and told them he was inside the bank when he saw the suspect had an accomplice who was sitting in a car.

Another witness said as he soon as he saw the suspect spraying the victim in the face he activated the bank's panic alarm and secure the bank in fear the suspect might enter the bank.
