Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson was selected with the 12th overall pick in the 1st round of the NFL Draft by the Houston Texans on Thursday night.
Watson, who led the Tigers to their first National Championship in over 30 years last season, was also a two-time finalist for the Heisman Trophy during his time at Clemson.
He threw for over 4500 yards and 41 touchdowns last season along with rushing for over 600 yards and 9 touchdowns last season.
Houston had to trade up in the first round for the right to select Watson. The Texans had to give up their first-round pick in this year and next years draft to Cleveland to move to the 12th pick.
