CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - College of Charleston President Glenn McConnell has announced that his school will soon be able to offer a doctoral degree program in computer and information science.
Gov. Henry McMaster signed a law that authorizes the school to offer the program.
McConnell says this legislation makes it possible for the school to offer additional doctoral degree programs in the future.
It's unclear how soon the program will be in place.
The program still has to be created and gain approval from the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education.
