The Citadel baseball team was defeated 4-2 by Furman Friday night at Latham Stadium as the Paladins hit two home runs.

The Bulldogs opened the scoring in the top of the third started by Jonathan Sabo’s two-out single. After Sabo stole his first base of the season, Bryce Leasure followed up with an RBI single.

Furman battled back, however, using the long ball to eventually take the lead. The Paladins got on the board in the fourth inning on Carter Grote’s solo home run and captured the lead on a two-run home run by Sims Griffith in the sixth.
