Lowcountry native Byron Maxwell has signed a new deal with the Seattle Seahawks bringing him back to the team that drafted him out of Clemson in 2011.
Maxwell, who was released by the Miami Dolphins earlier this season, is replacing star Richard Sherman who tore his ACL last week.
The Ft. Dorchester alum was originally a 6th round pick by the Seahawks in 2011 and helped Seattle reach two Super Bowls in 3 seasons.
He left Seattle in 2015 to sign a $63 million dollar deal with Philadelphia. The Eagles would trade him to Dolphins after just 1 season.
