CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - It's called New Day, New Hope, New Dream and it's the annual dinner auction and fundraiser for the Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center.
It's Thursday night from 6 p.m.to 10. p.m. in the Cedar Room at the Cigar Factory in downtown Charleston.
This is the 18th year for the auction, and since 2001, the event has raised more than $2.9 million to support direct services.
Dee Norton offers healing services at no cost to the families of child abuse victims.
This year's silent and live auctions include items ranging from fine art, jewelry, exclusive dining opportunities, vacation packages and weekend getaways.
The Dee Norton Center says the dinner auction demonstrates how the community comes together to work with the center on behalf of children. Officials say it helps ensure children who've experienced abuse and trauma receive the highest quality of care so they can heal and go on to lead fulfilling lives.
Tickets are $225 per person.
