Group to discuss the future of public transit on James Island

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - A Lowcountry group is set to talk about how public buses could change the way people get around James Island.

The Best Friends of Lowcountry Transit are holding a meeting Tuesday to discuss how public transit can improve the quality of life for senior citizens and other residents of the island.

Improving the bus service on both James and Folly Island will be on the agenda.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. at the Lowcountry Senior Center located at 865 Riverland Drive in Charleston
