MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - The Mount Pleasant police department found a woman Monday who was reported missing.

An officer noticed a silver Ford sedan stopped in the middle of Highway 17 southbound around 2 a.m. Monday morning, according to the incident report.

Pamela Kay Rhodes,51, told officers she was lost and said she wanted to get to Charleston, West Virginia before the officer advised her she was in Charleston, South Carolina, the report said.

A records check by the officer showed Rhodes as missing from Lexington, North Carolina, according to the incident report. She was looked at by EMS, but not hospitalized. She was later transported to MUSC after she called her son, who thought it was a good idea to go to the hospital. The officer got in touch with Rhodes' brother-in-law who said he was on the way to pick her up, the report stated.
