CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say a pedestrian was killed when he was struck by two vehicles on James Island Tuesday night.

Joseph Dudley, 60, died on the scene from his injuries, according to the Charleston County coroner.

Officials with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office say deputies responded to the 900 block of Folly Road just before 7 p.m. for an auto-pedestrian fatality.

"A male pedestrian was crossing the roadway when he was struck by two vehicles," CCSO officials said. "The vehicles involved were a red 4-door Hyundai and a green 4-door Chevrolet."

The accident is under investigation by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division and the Charleston County Coroner's Office.
