JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Officials at James Island Charter High School say they have found no credible threat following rumors of one against the school.
Principal Tim Thorn said school administrators have been working with Charleston police to investigate any rumors and every lead.
"No credible threat against the school has been discovered at this point," Thorn said Thursday night.
School officials say in addition to the two police officers the school has every day, extra law enforcement presence will be at the school on Friday as an added precaution.
"The safety and security of students remains our highest priority," Thorn said."As a community, let's continue to work together to ensure the safety of all students."
