NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A shooting late Tuesday night outside a North Charleston apartment left a woman wounded in the arm.

North Charleston Police responded to a report of shots fired at an apartment in the 2100 block of Eleanor Drive at 11:49 p.m., according to an incident report.

Police say they arrived to find the victim sitting outside an apartment with a gunshot wound to the upper left arm.

The victim told police she had gotten into an argument with a female relative who shot the victim and then fled the scene in a beige or brown sedan. The victim said the shooting happened in front of another relative's apartment, according to an incident report.

One witness said he saw the two arguing and saw the alleged shooter push the victim a few times. That witness said he continued to hear them argue after he closed his door and then heard a gunshot, but did not see who fired the gun, the report states.

Another witness said he heard an argument and saw the two women arguing and "squaring off," then saw one "hold something up" and said a shot came from whatever was in her hand, the report states.

EMS took the victim to MUSC for treatment.

No arrests have been made, according to the incident report. The incident remains under investigation.
