The Nor'easter was moving offshore Saturday morning but has been blamed for flooding streets in some areas and up to a foot of snow in others. In some areas, powerful winds snapped trees and knocked out power to more than 1.8 million homes and businesses.
Five people were killed, including two children.
Airlines canceled more than 2,800 flights, mostly in the Northeast. LaGuardia and Kennedy airports in New York City were brought to a near standstill.
