St. George man accused of pepper spraying, fondling and touching underaged victims with taser

ST. GEORGE, SC (WCSC) - St. George police arrested a man after a month-long investigation.

Mark Carlisle Childers is charged with three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and 3 counts of 1st-degree assault and battery, according to St. George police chief Brett Camp.

Childers fondled, pepper sprayed and touched three victims aged 2, 5 and 7 with a taser, according to Camp.

The victims were interviewed by a forensic investigator with the help of the Dorchester Children's Advocacy Center, Camp said. Childers is being held at the Dorchester County Detention Center on a $150,000 surety bond.
