BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Crews responded to a reported structure fire in Berkeley County early Wednesday morning

Two people escaped a mobile home in the 1200 block of Jerry Way between the Goose Creek and Sangaree areas off College Park Road, according to a battalion chief with the Pine Ridge Fire Department.

The fire began in a shed behind the home and spread from there, officials said.

Crews are now investigating the cause of the fully-engulfed fire after putting it out in roughly 20 minutes.

The call came in at 3:23 a.m.
