CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Riverdogs debuted some new food items Wednesday for the media including one which will have fans reaching deep into their pocketbooks.
The team says it will offer a "25th-anniversary hot dog" which includes a silver leaf, pork belly and lobster. It's $25 for 2 hot dogs by themselves. When served with a champagne option, the total comes to $175 with bottle service and a table for two. Only one bottle of champagne will be available per game.
Other items include a "Wagyu Island burger" with high-quality beef, a smoked carrot dog, two new flatbread pizzas, a margarita beer shake, a Caribbean smoothie and a grilled cheese sandwich with brie, apple and honey.
The team will also offer "kitchen sink chips" with pulled pork and avocado, as well as sweet potato waffle fries with she crab soup poured over the top.
For those who seek a healthier option, a summer harvest salad served in a batting helmet will also be available.
The Riverdogs kick off their season April 5 at Lexington. Their home opener is a week later against Kannapolis on April 12.
