CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

It's not fun to wait around at the airport, but Charleston International is trying to make it a little more enjoyable.

Braden Kershner of the Black Tie Music Academy will perform in areas around the airport beginning Thursday and lingering through the summer.

“Whether passengers are traveling for business or for leisure, we want anyone who visits the airport to have a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Live music will help us do that by creating a welcoming and fun atmosphere for travelers,” Charleston County Aviation Authority CEO Paul Campbell said.

Airport officials decided to continue the live music program after passengers got a taste in December 2017. Future performances include a jazz guitarist, a barbershop quartet and a Mariachi Band.
