CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - More than 200 high school students from across the Lowcountry will be walking and learning at the same time Friday.
They will participate in the Bridge Walk. The walk is an annual event that serves as an outdoor classroom to allow students who are part of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math program with an interest in civil engineering to experience hands-on learning.
Engineers will be instructing students on the construction and architecture of building a bridge.
Friday's walk is one of three being held this month and is sponsored by the Charleston Metro Chamber and Career Academies.
