Crews investigating early-morning vehicle, brush fire

HUGER, SC (WCSC) - Investigators in Huger are trying to figure out what sparked a brush fire that destroyed a vehicle and burned a quarter of an acre.

The Cainhoy Fire Department responded Friday at 3:31 a.m. to the fire at Halfway Creek Road in the area of Herman Lane for a vehicle fire.

Crews reported a vehicle in flames and a brush fire.

Firefighters ere able to bring the fire under control quickly and remained on the scene to make sure the fire was completely out, according to a post from the department's Facebook page.

No injuries were reported and the fire did not cause damage to any nearby buildings, firefighters say.
