NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Police recovered a firearm and arrested two men in connection with an armed robbery.

Robert Lee Terry, of Round O; and Terris J. Walker, of Cottageville, are charged with armed robbery, according to North Charleston Police spokesman Spencer Pryor.

Police responded Thursday to the area of Dorchester Road at Paramount Drive on a report of a possible armed robbery.

The victim, who works along the roadway as part of a landscaping crew, told police the two men were seen near their work trailer attempting to steal equipment.

Police say when the victim confronted the two men, they presented a gun and ran off with a blower.

Police spotted the suspects' vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, Pryor said.

The suspects were positively identified, he said.

Police say they found a .22 caliber handgun in the center console of the car and a small amount of marijuana in a jacket on the driver's seat.

Terry and Walker were being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
