COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Crews have extracted at least one person from a vehicle after an accident on Low Country Highway Sunday morning.
Colleton Fire tweeted out information saying crews responded to a vehicle accident with entrapment a little after 8 a.m. The accident happened along the 20000 block of Low Country Highway, also known as U.S. 21, in Ruffin.
The crash involved one car that went off the road, according to Lance Corporal David Jones with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Colleton County Fire officials said a CARE Flight helicopter was standing by at Bells Elementary School. Jones added one person had been air lifted from the scene.
South Carolina Highway Patrol remained on scene.
