CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Five bombs in three weeks. Two dead and five injured.

It's unsettling and downright scary.

Austin Police say they are clearly dealing with a serial bomber. The first three were package bombs left near front doors. The next bomb used a higher level of sophistication and relied on a trip wire possibly made from fishing line.

The fifth package, reportedly filled with nails and shrapnel, exploded on a Fedex conveyor belt injuring a worker. That package had been shipped and was on its way to Austin.

The FBI says it's more than possible all of the explosions are related.

Also scary is the motive: Unknown and unclear.

Let's hope local, state and federal investigators solve this deadly mystery before more people are hurt or killed.
