Hemingway Police release armed robbery surveillance footage

HEMINGWAY, SC (WCSC) - Hemingway investigators are searching for a man who robbed a convenience store employee at gunpoint.

Police released dramatic surveillance footage of the robbery showing the robber holding a gun on a store clerk as she emptied the cash register at Young's Store on Tuesday.

The Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office shared the video on its website Wednesday afternoon.

The Hemingway Police Dept is asking for your help in identifying an armed robbery suspect. On 03/20/18, an unknow person entered the Youngs Store in Hemingway and robbed the cashier at gunpoint. If you have any information regarding the identity of the suspect, please call Chief Brian Todd at the Hemingway Police Dept at 843-558-2424. You can remain anonymous
