OMAHA, Nebraska (WCSC) - As more Clemson fans start to arrive in Omaha for March Madness, local businesses are excitedly reaping the benefits of more visitors.
One business particularly happy about the wave of Clemson visitors is Old Market Candy Shop.
The shop is the oldest candy shop in Omaha, and it's located right across the street from where the Clemson team, and Clemson fans are staying.
"We make most of the chocolates right here," owner Jeff Jorgensen said. "If we have the equipment that will make it, we make it right here, and we make all of our fudge here in the shop."
Jorgensen said when big events like the NCAA Tournament come to town, it turns out to be a pretty sweet deal for him.
"Omaha loves amateur athletics," Jorgensen said. "Whenever there's a lot of visitors, it's good for our business and it's just something the whole city has a lot of fun with."
Another business benefiting from all the visitors is Upstream Brewing Company.
"We've been waiting for this for the last four years," founder Brian Magee said.
Magee said he and other business owners look forward to big events like this coming to town.
"We've been seeing more and more people coming in already," Magee said.
Magee's rise in business is something several other business owners say they expect to see in the next few days.
