Cole Hammer knocked a wedge stiff from 118 yards on the first playoff hole en route to winning The Azalea Invitational at the Country Club of Charleston.
Hammer built a sizeable lead Sunday only to see it evaporate.
Joseph Pagdin birdied 15 to pull within one of Hammer. Hugo Bernard did the same on 17. After missing a lengthy par putt on 18 to win the tournament, Hammer settled for a bogey and the three were tied after regulation.
Bernard missed his drive right on the first playoff (hole #1). Pagdin put his approach within 10 feet but missed his birdie attempt. Hammer tapped in to clinch the victory.
