Quinton Hollis, who's been on the staff at Oceanside Collegiate for the first 2 years of the school's existence and took over as the interim head coach midway through last season, has officially been promoted to the teams head coach the school announced on Friday.
Hollis, who played in college at the College of Charleston, has been the school's JV head coach the last 2 seasons. Last year, he took over as the head coach in February after the school and Jermel President mutually agreed to part ways.
The Landsharks had a rough 2nd season as a program after going 18-3 in their first year. The team 8-14 overall including 1-6 after Hollis took over. But that one victory was in their season finale against First Baptist, a team that would end up making the SCISA AAA state championship game.
Hollis played at CofC from 2000-2004 under John Kresse and Tom Herrion.
