CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Friday was the deadline for public officials in South Carolina to file their 2017 financial disclosure reports. Governor Henry McMaster was among them, and he had quite the list of gifts given to him.
The gifts ranged from a book valued at $7.50 to "accommodations" from the Republican Governors Association at more than $3,200. A framed photo of The Citadel president John Rosa was valued at $10. A friend named Will Mills gave him a $100 21-pound turducken. A company called Ruiz Foods gave him a $178 bottle of Azui Tequila.
A custom dog bowl from the Tower International company was $250, Cufflinks from the United States Golf Association were $100. Takashi Shinozuka, the Consulate General of Japan, gave him a $1,860 stationary box. A bronze bulldog from the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition was $275.
He was also given three tickets to different Presidential Balls valued at $420.
