Bicycle corrals must be cleared ahead of Bridge Run, police warn

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Cyclists who use bike corrals in downtown Charleston may need to remove their bikes by early Saturday morning because of the Cooper River Bridge Run.

Charleston Police spokesman Charles Francis said there are seven corrals that must be cleared by 1 a.m. Saturday.

The locations are:

  • King Street at Woolfe Street
  • 468 King Street
  • King Street at Ann Street
  • 420 King Street
  • 369 King Street
  • King Street at George Street
  • King Street at Liberty Street

Each one has warning signage posted nearby, he said.

Any bikes not removed by 1 a.m. Saturday will be taken to the Charleston Police Department at 180 Lockwood Blvd. and their owners may have to pay removal fees, he said.
