CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston residents now have another way to get their food delivered.
GrubHub arrived in Charleston, Columbia and Greenville on Monday as part of an expansion in 34 more markets across the country. The company gives restaurants the ability to offer some or all of their menus for delivery.
The move comes after UberEats arrived last November. Amazon is already offering delivery from Whole Foods where a new location will soon open on Savannah Highway in West Ashley.
"We're thrilled to expand our delivery offering to these markets across the U.S., making quick progress on our plan to expand our delivery capabilities throughout the coming year," Grubhub COO Stan Chia said in a statement. "These additional markets are part of our vision to connect more diners with even more of their favorite local restaurants across the country, and provide them with the widest selection of choice wherever they are."
A partnership with YumBrands also allows the company to offer delivery from certain Taco Bell and KFC locations.
According to the Charleston listing on the company's website, East Bay Deli, Tommy Condon's and Steak n Shake are among the first offerings in the Holy City. Sticky Fingers Smokehouse is also participating.
