Nations named the Big South Conference's Starting Pitcher of the Week

CHARLESTON, SC -

Charleston Southern's Evan Nations received Big South Baseball Starting Pitcher of the Week honors as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Nations tossed seven complete, struck out five and did not allow a run in Charleston Southern's 6-0 series-clinching win over Longwood on Saturday. The right-hander allowed just six singles and did not issue a walk in the outing, as he claimed his first victory of the season.

Mickey Dugan from Gardner-Webb was named the conference's Player of the Week.

High Point's Rion Murrah was selected as the conference's Relief Pitcher of the Week.

Liberty's Logan Mathieu was selected as the conference's Freshman of the Week.

Also nominated for Player of the Week: Christian Jones (Campbell), Mike Sconzo (Charleston Southern), Hunter Lee (High Point), Logan Mathieu (Liberty), Sammy Miller (Longwood), Jonathan White (Presbyterian College), Spencer Horwitz (Radford), Jake Madole (UNC Asheville) and Mitch Spires (Winthrop)

Also nominated for Starting Pitcher of the Week: Allan Winans (Campbell), Mason Fox (Gardner-Webb), Drew Daczkowski (High Point), Steven Farkas (Longwood) and Riley Arnone (Winthrop)

Also nominated for Relief Pitcher of the Week: Daniel Johnson (Charleston Southern), Wil Sellers (Gardner-Webb), Tommy Green (Longwood), Jackson Dean (Presbyterian College), Cameron Fritz (Radford), Jordan Fulbright (UNC Asheville) and Daniel Willcutt (Winthrop)

Also nominated for Freshman of the Week: JP McGuire (Gardner-Webb), Todd Moxey (Longwood) and Grayson Stoneking (Presbyterian College)
