CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A two-vehicle crash on I-526 Friday morning sent one driver to the hospital.
Dispatchers received the call about the accident in the eastbound lanes of I-526 just past the Don Holt Bridge at 7:13 a.m., according to Charleston Police spokesman Charles Francis. Dispatchers said the incident was reported near the Clements Ferry Road exit.
Witnesses said a white SUV had flipped over in the crash.
The incident caused massive traffic delays for up to four miles into the morning.
Shortly before 9 a.m., the drive time from West Ashley to Mount Pleasant reached more than two hours.
