CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - April is National Child Abuse Awareness month, and the Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center wants you to know that it is working to prevent child abuse every month of the year.
Friday is Wear Blue Day to show your support for fighting child abuse. Dee Norton has declared, both, Charleston and Mount Pleasant as Pinwheel cities to show their support in the fight against child abuse.
Dee Norton will also host a family friendly movie night April 27, at the MUSC Health Stadium on Daniel Island.
The event includes a photo booth, face painting, a balloon artist, food trucks, information for parents and much more! Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
This year's feature film, "The Lion King," begins at 7:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Alcohol is not permitted.
