DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - South Carolina Law Enforcement Agents arrested three people in connection with a multi-year home care insurance fraud scheme in Dorchester County Tuesday.

Celestine Miller Harris, 74, Cara Desiree Eakes, 27 and Anthony Gregory Luck, 32, were each charged with one count of making false insurance statements, misrepresentation, assisting, abetting, soliciting, or conspiring and one count each for forgery for a value of $10,000 or more.

According to the affidavit, Harris, Eakes and Luck submitted fraudulent recipes to her insurance company for reimbursement for hours employed "caregivers" did not work and/or for unauthorized duties performed.

The home care insurance fraud reportedly lasted during Dec 1, 2010, and Jan 31,  2018, according to the affidavit.
