Investigators arrest suspect in Dorchester Co. armored car robbery

DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Investigators have arrested a suspect in connection to an armored car robbery in Dorchester County. 

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office has arrested 31-year-old Rashad Dingle of North Charleston. 

He was arrested in connection to a Brinks truck that was robbed Tuesday morning. 

It happened in the parking lot of the Food Lion in the 3700 block of Ashley Phosphate Road while the truck was servicing an ATM, according to Dorchester County Sheriff's Maj. Tony Phinney.

According to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, there were two suspects both armed with handguns.

The suspects got an undisclosed amount of money and left the scene in what is believed to be a 2010 or newer Infinity sedan turning towards Dorchester Road on Ashley Phosphate, according to the sheriff's office.
