Police: Man lost part of his hand in N. Charleston train accident

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A man is missing part of his hand after he came into contact with a train in North Charleston Thursday night, police say.

Officers responded to a train striking someone in the area of the railroad and Marson Street, according to the incident report.

A responding officer found a hat and part of a hand resting on the train rail, the report stated.

After following a blood trail, the victim was located near I-526. He stated that he previously had two beers, according to the report.

He was then transported to the hospital in stable condition.
