Lanes reopen on I-526 near Don Holt Bridge after crash

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A crash involving multiple vehicles that shut down three lanes of I-526 Friday morning has been cleared.

Two left eastbound lanes near the Don Holt Bridge were closed before 9 a.m. because of the crash. Shortly after 10 a.m., the left westbound lane was also closed.

As of 10:25 a.m., the middle eastbound lane had reopened, and by approximately 10:45 a.m., the remaining lanes had reopened.

The drive time from West Ashley to Mount Pleasant reached more than an hour at one point. Traffic going from Mount Pleasant to West Ashley faced a delay of more than 40 minutes.
