Car goes off roadway in Mount Pleasant, road blocked

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) -

Mount Pleasant Police responded to an accident along the 1400 block of Midtown Avenue on Saturday afternoon.

Charleston Consolidated Dispatch confirmed the initial call came in just after 11 a.m.

According to our crew on scene, a car did get stuck in a tree.

No word on any injuries but our crew reported seeing an ambulance pull away.

Midtown Avenue is a small side street behind the Walmart near Hungry Neck Boulevard. Police have the street blocked so use an alternate route if you’re in the area.

    Mount Pleasant fire and police are on the scene of a reported structure fire, according to Charleston County dispatchers. Dispatchers say emergency crews are along the 400 block of Whilden Street in Mount Pleasant. Police are on the scene directing traffic.
