Berkeley County deputies arrest 3 in Summerville drug bust

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County deputies say they were searching for a wanted suspect in Summerville when they smelled burning marijuana and wound up arresting three people.

Officers arrested Bryan Anthony Mizzell, 47, Marie E. Andaluz, 44, and Tracey Elaine Roark-Cannon, 37 at a home in the 500 block of Sassafras Lane on Friday, according to a post on the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page.

Deputies from the Drug Enforcement Unit, K9 and Community Action Teams were in the area attempting to locate a wanted suspect. When deputies approached the home and knocked on the door of the home, the odor of marijuana was apparent, the post states.

After obtaining a search warrant, deputies located a white crystal-like substance that field tested presumptive to be methamphetamines, 14.5 gross grams & 4 gross grams of a green, plant-like substance that tested presumptive to be marijuana as well as various types of drug paraphernalia.

All were transported to the Hill Finklea Detention Center to await warrant services and a bond hearing.
